    The weaknesses of law making by Parliament include: • Parliament is not always sitting and problem situations could arise • Law making in Parliament is time consuming • Parliament is influenced by interest groups to the detriment of other sections in society • Staff are not legal experts like judges • Parliament may not have effective control over delegated bodies • Parliament may avoid changing the law in politically sensitive areas such as abortion • Parliament has passed a lot of laws that are difficult to access and understand

    The weaknesses of law making by parliament are the following: make laws under the influence of pokitical lobbyists, lack expertise in law making, does not change the law in politically difficult areas, and law making sit continually. Since law making sit continually it cannot alway react to new situations which arise.

    Parliament may not always represent the majority of people. Governments and MPs can be unduly influenced by pressure groups, therefore, they may legislate or block proposed legislation to appease a minority.
