    what just happened it would be great if it was explained to me what is happening because i have absolutely no idea what this is. you could of at least explained what it is instead of shoving it in our face expecting us to know

    I intended to take this class to refresh my memory about the math I took in high school, but I don't get the way this course is set up. It started with a long set of modules on very simple elementary geometry, explaining what squares and triangles and right angles are. Then it suddenly jumped into a bunch of ellipsis and parabola equations, not even explaining what an ellipsis or parabola is, let alone what the variables of the equations are supposed to represent. And having not taken algebra or precalc in 35 years, solving those equations is one of the things I don't remember how to do... was hoping to work up to that, yet this course seems to have suddenly skipped forward several years of school. What am I missing? Are the modules just out of order? Should I skip ahead to some other part of the course and then come back to this?
