Biology - Characteristics of Kingdom Animalia
Characteristics of Kingdom Animalia
Phylum Chordata is divided into a number of classes. The main six classes
are: (mammals), Aves (birds), Reptilia (reptiles), (amphibians),
(cartilaginous fish) and (bony fish).
The remaining animal phyla are invertebrates. [1] The phyla are:
(sponges), (arthropods), (molluscs), (cnidarians), (flatworms),
(annelids/segmented [2] worms), (nematodes/roundworms) and (echinoderms).

Characteristics of Kingdom Animalia
Do marine biologists use this daily?
Which class are crocodiles and alligators in? Amphibia or Reptilia? Or both?
There seems to be a muddle over the names of classes of fish; they have been interchanged. 'Osteon' is Greek for 'bone' and 'Osteichthyes' means 'bony fish', while the Chondrichthyes are the cartilaginous fish. This misstatement is made twice.
