    The project manager leads people and manages works processes. Project management is both art and science. Its the art of creating vision of success, building project teams, project story. The project leadership is encompasses with good personality, leadership style, leadership skills of the project management in handling processes like formula, calculation critical path, developing project goals, managing meetings. In general, more complex project need a leader with greater leadership skills and management sills.

    Working with individual or people involve dealing logically and emotionally which begin with appreciating the important of emotion and how the relate to personality types, leadership styles, negotiation and setting goals. Emotional intelligence is the ability to sense, understand and effectively apply the power as per the level of emotion as a source of human energy, information connections and influences. Emotional intelligence include the following: Self awareness Self regulation Empathy Relationship management. Emotional intelligence is the ability of the project manager to build trust with the project teams and the clients and open dialogue with the project stakeholders.

    The personality types refer to the differences among people to understand their way of conduct types which help us to understand the contribution of project teams,the clients and project stakeholders. There are number of tools to help people to assess the personality types such as DISC which means. Dominance - related to control ,power, and assertiveness. Influence - relates to social situation and communications. Steadiness - relates to being patience, persistence and thoughtfulness. Conscientiousness- relates to the structure and organization.

    The Myer Briggs Type Indicator tools being used in the project management to develop awareness for preferences for processing information and relationship with the people whereby you questionnaire to collect data from individual and make judgement through evaluation. These 16 are based on four pairs below: Extroversion (E) and Introversion (I) Sensing (S) and Intuition (I) Thinking (T) and Feeling (F) Judging (J) and Perceiving (P) And for making decisions (T-F) and for Planning (J-P). To understanding the differences among people is a critical leadership skills to process information, make decisions and deal with conflict. The Leadership Style may be autocratic or Democratic , Pathfinder (Visionaries) , Problems solvers ( analytical) or Implementers, team oriented. Leader are either transactional or focused on action and decisions, or transformational leaders who focuses on long term need of the group or organizations for example most engineers spend times on training on analytical problem solving.

The MBTI is the most common. It rates personalities on the position between extremes of four paired terms: Extroversion (E)-Introversion (I), Sensing (S)-Intuition (I), Thinking (T)-Feeling (F), and Judging (J)-Perceiving (P). • Leadership styles are usually related to the personality of the leader. The type of leadership style that is most effective depends on the complexity and the phase of the project. • Negotiation and conflict resolution require skill at listening and an understanding of emotional intelligence and personality types. • Delegation is the art of creating a project organizational structure that can be managed and then matching the team members with the right skills to do that work. • Individual goals can be set for improving abilities that are not natural personality strengths to deal with projects and project phases.
