    when research said that too much supplementation of beta-carotene is toxic to the body, i wouldn't disagree but to conclude that all antioxidants is dangerous when consumed is just wrong. Take for example, vitamin C which is a very powerful antioxidant that combats many diseases. i have read on one testimony that he cured his cancer though mega-doses of this antioxidant. Our bodies do not synthesize this antioxidant so we consume it through citrus fruits, vitamins and veggies which pack awesome amount of this antioxidant. There wouldn't be any toxicity to take place since excess amount of this antioxidant gets out the body through the urine.

    the writer is committing a fallacy by concluding that since too much beta-carotene research is linked to lung cancer, all antioxidants when consumed at huge amounts is toxic to the body. This is also a short sighted information since you have not identified how much is too much for a daily person's intake.
