Are there as many plumbers as doctors and nurses? And if not, given that the actions of plumbers can help protect the health, safety and comfort of a nation before disease sets in, which then requires the services of doctors and nurses, would it not make sense to encourage more persons to be plumbers? Or is it that plumbing services are not respected in the same way as medical services and plumbers are not paid as well as nurses? But I am beginning to question the old adage that "an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure", Is that adage still valid?
