    Just to clarify: In the three subnetworks that is supply chain network divided into (demand, supply and service), where are the banks and transport companies, are they in service? I think they should have been clearly mentioned when the professor was explaining the service subnetwork. Otherwise he just mentioned service and repair centres.

    First, the professor while explaining the three sub-networks of the supply chain network didn't mention that manufacturers are also there in the demand sub-network. There were retailers, customers and distributors. Then I see that manufacturers are there. Why are they in demand sub-network, is it because they set their requirements (demands) to the suppliers?
