An old adage, someone once said it takes a community to raise a child. I believe the lack of concern towards each other on many levels have brought about turmoil. That being said, why not practice caring community in the classroom, so that students will be motivated to grasp the tools that will help them take care of themselves.

How have you noticed a time where caring community was practiced in a learning environment? Did it motivate you ? Do you believe you learned more because of that?

I'm sure at times we have all been students and can recall the impact that different teaching styles had on us. I recall teachers who were explorers of subjects.

Mixing test questions with real questions is a good a good strategy to find students understanding in a lesson. Proximal development can be achieved by stimulating students thinking and creating a suppotive atmosphere. A class must be a caring community where everybody's idea must be respected. Students must be encouraged and respected. Their imputs must be sort and implemented. There must also be a sustaining relationship between teacher and students. This can be achieved by ensuring a common activity that can be done together as a class.
