Teaching is a ongoing learning experience such as communicating effectively. Active listening and teacher/student interaction makes classroom communication happen naturally.

I had a student who was not good at mathematics and every time we started Math class, he would raise hand and permission to go to restroom! his attempt to disrupt the class! So, I would send him to restroom as soon as class started and told him "No more restroom breaks till the end of the class!" The class was not disturbed!

We agreed upon some hand signals. e.g. When teacher raises hand, stop what you're doing and look at teacher. Helped very well when class was doing group activities.
