    As the interaction in class, the two functions of content talk and procedural talk are needed to combine for the task of the teacher, and behavior control, for some students.

    At this stage students may raise the issue of Syllabus, Course content and curriculum. These two terms are considered Synonyms but the why should there be two terms and what is first is syllabus a part of the curriculum or the other way. Perhaps the first that is Syllabus is a level below curriculum is more popular?

    If the teacher clearly states what the rules and guidelines are and what is expected of them when a new concept is introduced, while allowing the student opportunities to ask questions and talk about the subject there will be less need to utilize the control. Content, procedural and control talk are all parts of communicating effecively while maintaining control in the class. Not that I'm saying it should be the teacher exerting their power over the student, but more of a mutual respect.
