    I thought I was understanding it but now I'm confused. One they didn't give us an equation and then on previous equations they subtracted inverse operations and now this one they don't. Can someone explain it to me. What am I missing?

    Why are the 2 examples before the video solved differently? First example was 13-4 > 12 so it had 4 added to each side... that's not the same answer if I solve it as this video teaches me.

    Yikes, there are so many mistakes (equations missing before the video, a topic not showing a complete) as well as lack of depth. Sorry Alison, I tried, but I am going to Khan Academy.

    ok I understand where people are getting it mixed up. they are simplifying the equation. instead of subtracting or adding to each side they are skipping the step and allowing us to use simple arithmetic to find out if its true or false
