"The left side of the brain mainly controls the right side of the body, whereas the right half of the brain mainly controls left body areas. Therefore, if a person suffers an injury or stroke that damages one side of the brain, the opposite side of the body will be affected, becoming paralysed and losing sensations." Great lecture, I now understand more on stroke.

That's why when some people have strokes a lot of times it's very hard for them to remember thing , because the stroke has affected a part of the brain.

Psychology -> Cerebral hemispheres: corpus callosum Cerebral hemispheres, corpus callosum The cerebral cortex consists of two sides or hemispheres (half-globes). These two hemispheres are connected by a thick band of fibres called the corpus callosum. The corpus callosum is the largest bundle of association fibres in the brain, connecting corresponding parts of the cerebral cortex on one side of the brain with those of the other. It is the major "cable system" through which the right and left cerebral hemispheres communicate. The two halves of the brain control opposite sides of the body. The left side of the brain mainly controls the right side of the body, whereas the right half of the brain mainly controls left body areas. Therefore, if a person suffers an injury or stroke that damages one side of the brain, the opposite side of the body will be affected, becoming paralysed and losing sensations.

I had asked a question earlier about the two hemispheres and now it has been answered.

If the two hemispheres are connected,if one side suffers, can't the other be affected through their communication system?
