Eyelash Curler. Clean the rubber on the eyelash curler after using and this tool will last decades. You can use a cotton swab or square gauze and some alcohol to clean that little rubber piece to kill bacteria. You will need to use this to curl the eyelashes before you apply mascara, or you can risk damaging the eyelashes or cause them to fall out. You can also get a corner eyelash curler, that allows you to curl smaller sections for precision. There are times when regular eyelash curlers will not be able to get all of the lash in the area. A corner eyelash curler solves this issue. Tongue suppressors. Stick a couple of these in your makeup bag, to remove the rest of the product from the bottom of a jar, so that you don’t waste any. You can also use a spatula. It can also work great for mixing as well. You can use a popsicle stick for smaller bottles. Cleaners. You will need cleaners for your tools, which need to be disinfected and cleaned between clients. They may also need to be cleaned when changing colours. For example, to create various looks, you will need more than one colour. It will be important for you to make sure that you clean your tools, before using them again. That way you can properly apply the makeup and not mess up your look. When you are not using your tools you want to make sure that you first start out with a spray that disinfects them. You should also keep some of your tools in a disinfectant, when they are not in use. This is a great way to make sure that germs, bacteria and other microbes are not present on your tools. You will need some kind of bag or portable container to keep all your tools together in one place. This will make it easier to transport them, if your client is not coming to you. If you are a freelancer, you will likely have to travel frequently. Therefore, you will want to have all your tools clean, ready and available to use.
