In my opinion and experience,Sometimes it is difficult or a dream to find public sector offices who care about customer care simply due to the fact that they monopolise the service needed...so instead it is the custimer who smiles and is courteous to the service provider in order to get the service.

The last slide of the topic "The policies and principles of customer service" is wrong as it says "End of Unit: Customer service philosophy for the public sector" instead of "End of Unit: The policies and principles of customer service".

A customer of the Public Sector should be treated with the same importance of a customer of sales/retail/hospitality... intensely show them attention/caring/respect...let them know that they are your priority....

I believe that the way it should be, but sadly; many employee in the public sector treat customer with lack of respect. They always look down on customers.

it is pertinent for the public service officer to remember that even though he has heard the same complaint a thousand times by virtue of his office, that complaint is "new" and troubling to the one who called it in and so the officer must against his/her natural tendencies, show interest in each individual client and be nice and respectful in responding to them
