Very informative discussion. I think more people than we realize suffer from mental disorders and the accompanying personality disorders. It is a serious subject and it certainly has made me observe my own personality. Our behaviors are a clear indicator of mental and emotional balance.

God knows who wrote this!?! I was diagnosed with a personality disorder and have suffered with it for about 10 years...the sub-types are: borderline, paranoid, schizoid, schizotypal, antisocial, narcissistic, avoidant, histrionic and dependant. Why is this course allowed to give out false or distorted information?!?! I will not be doing another one of these courses. Personality disorders occur from child abuse, abandonment or other issues. What you have listened is subtypes of anyones personality...NOT personality disorders.

Personality disorders form a class of mental disorders that are characterized by long-lasting rigid patterns of thought and behavior. Because of the inflexibility and pervasiveness of these patterns, they can cause serious problems and impairment of functioning for the persons who are afflicted with these disorders
