I like the diagram for learning- cognitive, physical, social, emotional. Good distinction between teaching and learning. Class size can affect perceptions of the teacher as well as impact on the learner. One common theory of learning is Behaviorism, this is covert - conditioning and reinforcement (rewards)

I made error in previous post. Behaviorism is linked with overt conditioning. The second theory of learning is. Constructivism - one area is related to the psychological realm. The other is related to social being and social interconnections with others.

You learn and develop many skills during your life time, it could be physical (e.g. you learn how to walk when you are little), social (e.g. you learn how to interact with your classmates, friends, parents and teachers), emotional (e.g. you learn both good and bad emotions based on your relationships with people or your reaction in some situations) and cognitive (e.g. you develop your mental activities by acquiring knowledge or memorizing things).

Hi all, please can anyone throw more light on the teachers perception of learning under Learning Process in module 1. I understand the fact that the number of pupils in a class can influence how teachers teach but how does it affect the teacher's perception of learning. thanks

OK you say change has to last but isn't it true based upon someone particular learning style that may affect the way they perceive information

Change becomes evident and effective when a need to change is visioned. This reality is visioned once non-conformation is adopted as a m,ethodolgy for survival. This adoption is ralised through comparison and trial and error.which establishes an elimination process. Once all that has been tried and failed is excluded what remains, eventually, is the need to try something else that is different from the "old trend". The new chosen objective does not represent an option nor alternative, but, a choice. Once the choice is accepted and made there is a need for re-education in order to adadpt to the demands of the mode or trend established. Once adhered to faithfully, consistently, coherently in a knowlegable manner, true change becomes evident. the resultant fruit will be that consistent with conversion.

Learning is a permanent change in behaviour, skills, knowledge or attitudes resulting from expierience. The change has to be permanent not temporal
