Physics - Gravity

Gravity

Gravity is a force that exists between all objects. It acts throughout the
universe and over vast distances - it is responsible for keeping people on
the ground, the moon in its orbit around the Earth and for keeping whole
galaxies together.

Gravity is also responsible for the acceleration [1]of objects toward
other objects with mass. [2]We experience this when we observe objects
accelerating toward the Earth due to gravity.

Any object with mass [3] has gravity. We can calculate the gravitational
force [4] between two balls or we can calculate the gravitational force
between two planets. The strength of the gravitational force depends on the
masses of the objects and the distance between them.
