It is often said that we are what we eat.
In many ways this is true in that the vast majority of atoms in our bodies
have come from the food we have consumed.
The manufacture of substances in our bodies requires the intake of certain
types of food. As cells age and are replaced, atoms leave the body and food
provides the new building

The foods people eat may vary according to taste, customs, economics,
local ingredients, sensitivity to particular ingredients, and religious
beliefs. People around the world use many different combinations of
plant-and-animal-based foods to meet their bodies requirements.
Not everything we consume is food. Coffee has little nutritional value.
Its active ingredient, caffeine, acts as stimulant but is not used for any
other purpose by the body. Cocoa, on the other hand, is a food because it
contains proteins,  carbohydrates  and fats  extracted from the
