Experimental method and design: results and conclusion

Discussion of the results/observations involves analysing their
significance in relation to the stated hypothesis. Reason from the
results/observations to an appropriate conclusion. Quote from the data
(description or measurement) to support your reasoning.

An evaluation considers:

* the effectiveness of the procedure and experimental design, including
the safety aspects, if applicable - if you were to repeat the experiment,
would you change any aspect? Why or why not?

* the quality of the results (data) - are they reliable, accurate,
comprehensive; or are they inaccurate (determine the source of error) or
limited in scope and number?

The conclusion summarises the key findings in terms of the purpose of the
experiment. It is important to state whether the hypothesis is supported or
not.
