Light phase (Photolysis)

Photolysis takes place in the grana [1] of the chloroplasts. Light energy
splits the water molecules. The hydrogen is carried by the carrier molecule
NADP [2] (as NADPH) [3] to the stroma. Oxygen and water are released.
