Unicellular organisms have to eat too
A dinoflagellate. This organism is green like a plant because it has
chloroplasts. Photosynthesis takes place inside the chloroplasts.
Some unicellular organisms are predators  or parasites.  They eat
other organisms to get nutrients and energy.
Other unicellular organisms are more like plants. They can use sunlight to
make sugars using a process called photosynthesis. 
An amoeba. This organism preys on other unicellular organisms for food.
