If you have found a relevant piece of empirical research in a secondary source (one that discusses the study but is not the original paper on that study), the reference needs to be included in the essay as follows:

The reference list at the end of the report
At the end of the report, you must include a reference list, not a bibliography. The reference list contains only the resources that you have actually cited. They are arranged in alphabetical order based on the surname of the first author of a source. Work through the following steps to make sure you have referenced your sources accurately.
