A goal is a proposed outcome to a series of procedures in order to reach a moment that causes happiness, feeling of success, love, or another positive emotion. Goal setting is planning a process to reach the desired outcome. The reasons why setting goals is important are:
• Goals help you measure progress
• Goals help you stay motivated
• Goals help you determine what you want in life
A journal is a written record of your thoughts, experiences, and observations. A journal helps to document your path to success, preserve memories, it gives you the motivation to move forward and act as a point of reference.
Motivation is all about our internal desire to accomplish something that is important to us. You can motivate yourself through the following ways:
• By having positive thoughts and beliefs about your capabilities
• By celebrating your success
• By visualizing yourself succeeding
When you know the type of person you are, you can mold the goals based on your personality. There are different types of personalities which include the following:
• Introvert Vs Extrovert
• Sensor Vs Intuitive
• Thinker Vs Feeler
• Judger Vs Perceiver
A SMART goal is used to help guide goal setting. SMART is an acronym that stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely.
