We listen in order to learn from the other, to do this we need to create space in the conversation and in our minds so that they can fill it with their ideas and thoughts.
Listening is an active process.
We listen to understand how the other thinks and to understand the underlying meaning of what is and isn't spoken.
Designing the Interview
In order to ask the correct questions to answer the research questions, there needs to be an interview guide.
The interview guide uses a set of questions to navigate the interview.
The structure of the interview is important in order to ask questions that are important to the research.

Doing the Interview
Introduce the participant to the study.
learn a bit about the participant.
Get permission and consent from the participant.
Set a space to share control with the participant.
