    Support

hey everyone its Farah from zoom and inthis brief video we're gonna show youhow you can stop zoom bombing in itstracks as the hosts of the meeting youhave all of the controls at yourfingertips to remove anyone from themeeting that may have joinedaccidentally at the wrong time or isn'tsupposed to be there at all you alsohave all of the abilities to stop folksfrom sharing their screeninappropriately or chatting things tothe audience as well in addition to thatwe also have several features that we'vealready built into our product to helpyou manage and customize the experiencethat you want your end users to havewhile adding extra layers of security ifyou like we're gonna review all of thatin hopefully under five minutes so staywith us first things first I want toshow you one of the easiest things foryou to turn on today that will helprestrict people from joining a meetingthat are not supposed to be there thisis our waiting room feature I'm going toshare my screen and navigate over to oursettings tab when you sign in to zoomyou'll see your settings on the lefthand side and I'm gonna go from mysettings tab over to my meeting tab herenow down the meeting tab we'll see theAdvanced Options we can skip right downto that and we'll scroll down until wefind waiting room now the waiting roomfeature is something that you can turnon at your account level and you canlight this up for every single meetingthat you host the defaulted zoom willapply we'll say all participants thiswill enforce every single person to hitthe waiting room before the meetingcommences what I would suggest is usingguest participants only this will allowinternal participants from yourorganization to seamlessly join themeeting without hitting the waiting roomas long as they are signed in to theirzoom account anyone else that's not partof your organization will hit thatwaiting room you also have the abilityto customize the title logo anddescription using the pen tool here andthis is where I have a note to my teamsaying please make sure you're signed into zoom to bypass the waiting room whereit's going to where it will catch anyother unwanted guests you can of courseexpand on the messaging here now thiscan be applied to every single meetingor when you're at thisscheduling level you can enter yourtopic date time duration all sorts ofgood information and at the back at thebottom of thisjust apply enable waiting roomspecifically to this meeting what it'lllook like when you launch your meetingyou can see that I'm gonna share myentire desktop with you here is that itallows folks that are within myorganization to join the meetingseamlessly we can see Gisele has alreadyjoined and when I launch the manageparticipants tab we'll be able to seeother people that are able to joinseamlessly and anyone that might getstuck in the waiting roomonce this waiting room lights up I'llshow you how you can admit people putthem back in the waiting room and evenremove them from the session if they'renot meant to be here now a couple otherthings that might happen while you're inthe meeting could pertain to sharingyour screen sharing content or evenhaving somebody chat with in the meetingwhen they're not supposed to be chattingand so if I were to see let's see ifanybody joined accidentally for exampleAlec I can hover over him to remove himfrom the session and if I remove Alecfrom the session he won't be able torejoinso we can see that uh Giselle actuallyhad signed out sign back and we can seethat if Giselle was not part of ourorganization she would hit this waitingroom of course if she forgot to sign inshe'll also hit the waiting room andfrom here I can remove her from thewaiting room or admit her into themeeting as well we'll also see from thescreenshare perspective that I have anup arrow next to the option to screenshare that'll allow you to limit who canshare to the hosts now we know thatthere are going to be some instanceswhere you do need to turn it on so thatother members of your team yourorganization or your class can sharecontent if somebody else starts sharingbefore they can share that content youas the host will always have anemergency red stop share button at thetop of your screen as well now we cansee that we have a chat here if I openthis up we can see that why it's tryingto solicit people to follow him on hisInstagram and I can limit who can chatin this team meeting by either cancelingthe ability for anyone to chat with eachother or making it host only so all ofthe messaging comes to me and nothinginappropriate is shared with the rest ofthe group now those are some of thebasics on how you can control the inmeeting experience if I head back overto our settings page and specificallyover to the meeting schedule there are acouple other features that are builtright in so when you're scheduling yourmeeting you will have the ability torequire registration this will show youevery email address of anybody thatregistered to join your event you alsohave the option to use one of zoomssingle serve random meeting ID so thatthis meeting ID can't be sharedexternally to your organization multipletimes we would definitely recommendagainst using your personal meeting IDwith any external facing meetings ifthere's a concern for that link to bereposted I always use mine for internalevents anywayyou also have the ability to passwordprotect your meeting and set yourpassword here so that only folks thatare intended to join you can give thepassword to them as welllast but not least if you don't like thewaiting room option we have the abilityfor you to add only authenticated userscan join your session this will restrictit so that only members of yourorganization who are signed into thezoom account will be able to access thisparticular meeting don't forget to hitsave at the bottom when you're ready toinitiate any of these changes finallyplease head over to support zoomed us tolook up other helpful articles on howyou can contain your meetings and stopzoom bombing from happening we alsopublish recently an article on our zoomblog how to keep party crashers fromcrashing your event please take a lookat both of those resources and let usknow if you have any additionalquestions thanks for watching
