SM Waqas Imam is a qualified industrial engineer. His experience of around a decade of working with four different manufacturing concerns has helped him to critically understand the dynamics of different types of organizations. He is also certified by the IRCA (International Register of Certified Auditors) and CQI (Chartered Quality Institute) as well as being recognized for his lead auditing work on ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and other management system standards. He had served as quality assurance and regulatory affairs manager at QSA Surgical and Ultimate Medical Products. He has managed requirements for ISO 13485:2003, European Union directives, CE marking and the FDA. He served as an expert blog writer for 13485Academy and wrote articles on various topics around ISO 13485:2016. He implemented Lean and quality management practices at Universal Brushwares. He helped Atlas Battery to implement and attain a ISO 9001:2015 transition certificate, and also implement and attain OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2015 certificates through certification audits. Within the same company, he provided a project plan to implement ISO 50001:2011 along with a consultant and the company acquired the same certification based on the developed plan.
He is now serving as a senior consultant at Exoexcellence Consultants, helping his different clients on various projects like ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. He is eager to learn about important management systems such as information security ISO 27001 and business continuity ISO 22301.
