The US Army Medical Center of Excellence, or MEDCoE, is located at Fort Sam Houston in Texas, and is responsible for the medical organisation and education of the US Army. MEDCoE traces its roots as the army's medical educators back to the Medical Field Service School (MFSS), established in 1920 at Carlisle Barracks in Pennsylvania.
MEDCoE provides state-of-the-art, hands-on and scenario-led training to all of the army's serving medical personnel, teaching them the vital skills and knowledge they need to be able to serve successfully. Given the importance of their role, MEDCoE is committed to setting and maintaining the highest educational standards.
In partnership with Alison, MEDCoE has created a wide range of high-quality online courses that are available for free and that cover a variety of subjects. These courses include both mental and physical health topics, as well as the various systems of the body, from the nervous to the cardiovascular system. MEDCoE's Alison courses also include expert offerings on physical fitness and nursing skills and leadership, providing you with cutting-edge information that will set you apart from your peers.
