  • This free online course will introduce Transition Year (TY) and Senior Cycle (SC) students to the principles of workplace safety, health and welfare. It aims to prepare young people for the world of work. This course forms part of the HSA, National Council for Curriculum Assessment (NCCA) approved, Transition Unit programme.

  • Upon completion of this course you will have a better understanding of your responsibility in the workplace to provide a safe working environment. You will be more aware of different types of hazards and effective ways to prevent accidents from occuring in the workplace. You will learn how to control risks, plan safety statements, and learn the best way to report accidents and incidents.

  • All Alison courses are free to study. To successfully complete a course you must score 80% or higher in each course assessments. Upon successful completion of a course, you can choose to make your achievement formal by purchasing an official Alison Diploma, Certificate or PDF.
