In this module, you will learn about the purpose of a VR tracking system. You will be taught orientation tracking and how you can integrate sensor readings to estimate orientation. Also, this module will cover tracking of all 6 DOFs for a moving rigid body, with the most important case being head tracking. Furthermore, you will be shown the pinhole camera model and how tracking is done using a camera.
In this module, you will learn about visual rendering. You will be shown shading models and VR-specific problems. Also, this module will explain latency reduction, which is critical to VR, so that virtual objects appear in the right place at the right time. You will learn about rasterization methods which are widely used in specialized graphics hardware, called GPUs and how they can efficiently solve rendering problems.
