The course begins by introducing you to the smaller syntax elements of Visual Basic such as operators and expressions, and how they function in Visual Basic. You will learn about arrays and how they are used in writing code. This course will also introduce you to methods which are an important feature used throughout all levels of Visual Basic.

You will then be introduced to more complex statements and how to use them in your code. You will learn about formatting strings for display and creating a menu system. In addition, Visual Basic can be used for applications that show the time and date; you will learn how to display the time and date in various formats for the end user.

This course is a follow-up to the Alison course 'Introduction to Visual Basic' and is suitable for beginners of Visual Basic or those hoping to improve their programming skills.
