A function is a method or reusable section of code that you can call when you need to perform a task, without having to rewrite the code again and again. This course will teach you how to identify a function and locate where you have used them before. You will learn how to create a function by using the def keyword, give the function a name, and write code in the body of the function. You will also learn the use of parameters in creating functions.
You will then study the use of a try/except function. The course will teach you the ways of testing your code for errors and how to get information on any errors you find. The course will then teach you that runtime errors occur when the code works but something out of the ordinary crashes the code. You will also learn that you can use the sys.exc_info() to find errors when you need.
