• Discuss self-ionisation in water, ionic products, equilibrium and solubility and the prediction of precipitation
• Compute pH, pOH, the acid dissociation constant of weak acids, the pH of a buffer solution and the solubility product
• Summarise acid-base titration processes, the principle of the common ion effect, partition coefficient & chromatography
• Describe the electrolysis cell composition and redox reactions in the electrolysis cell
• Recall the galvanic cell components and the Nernst equation formula
• Identify the voltage measured under standard conditions using standard hydrogen electrodes
