My name is <\/span>Sandra Enith Marie Outerbridge. I live on the beautiful island of Bermuda. I am a 69 year old retired paraeducator and I’m a lifelong learner.<\/span><\/p>\n

How did you learn about Alison?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

On social media. The Alison courses I saw there appealed to me because of the ease of access and the dynamic nature of the courses that were offered.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What was your first course on Alison, and why did you choose it?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The first course that I took was entitled <\/span>Human Health – Diet and Nutrition<\/span><\/a>. I am interested in all courses that deal with <\/span>education<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>mental <\/span><\/a>and <\/span>physical health<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

How have Alison courses affected your career?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The courses that I have taken have helped me to obtain the required professional development hours needed for me to keep my educator’s licence.<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s your favourite way to relax from studying?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I enjoy <\/span>swimming, aerobics, karate, walking football, yoga, pilates, walking on the beach looking at the horizon, playing piano, guitar, the tenor and treble recorders, learning French, Spanish and Portuguese, and reading.<\/span><\/p>\n

Where are you working now?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I volunteer at our local hospital as a Pink Lady. <\/span>Alison health courses<\/span><\/a> have helped me understand some of the challenges that patients face. Also I volunteer for charity events. The courses I’ve taken have given me confidence to try new things.<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s next for you, in terms of education?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I plan on taking more diploma courses and hope to eventually do a bachelor’s in Education, Health or Psychology. Although I’ll be 70 on October 5th, I plan to further my education. The Alison courses have helped me keep up with the 21st century and they keep my memory sharp.<\/span><\/p>\n

What would you say to someone if they asked you about Alison? Would you recommend it and why?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I would recommend Alison to young and older students because the courses are relevant, stimulating and challenging.<\/span><\/p>\n
