Biology - DNA profiling
DNA profiling
A profile of an organism's DNA can be obtained as described above using
restriction enzymes, [1] gel electrophoresis, [2] Southern Blotting and
radioactive probes. [3] By comparing the profile from different
individuals, similarities and differences between individuals (whether
humans or other animals, and between plants) can be determined.
Dr. Malcolm Simons discusses genetic profiling on this short video.
