Diagram of a tRNA molecule
Three bases (an anticodon) are exposed by the tRNA. The particular
sequence of the three bases in the anticodon determines which one of the 20
different kinds of amino acids a particular tRNA will carry. When the tRNA
[1] arrives at the ribosome its anticodons bond with the corresponding
codons of the mRNA. There may be up to six different tRNAs for a particular
amino acid. The amino acids [2] are linked in the sequence determined
originally by the DNA. [3]
