Biology - Adaptations
Adaptations
Dave and Dina found that, after many a night spent watching their
favourite band Death Slur, a slight adaptive mechanism was taking place.
The long-neck-big-ear syndrome gave Dina and Dave a distinct added
advantage over their fellow Death Slur groupies.
Individuals who survive and reproduce are likely to pass on their
heritable, advantageous characteristics (adaptations) to their offspring.
Over successive generations these characteristics (and their alleles) will
become increasingly frequent in the population.
