Biology - Mitosis
Mitosis
Mitosis is the process by which a eukaryotic organism's body cells (the
somatic cells) [1] reproduce for growth, repair and replacement of tissues.
Every daughter cell must have the same amount and kind of genetic material
as its parent cell if it is to be able to survive. Therefore it must have
the same number and kinds of chromosomes. [2] If the parent cell has 2n =
12, then the daughter cell must too.
