Meiosis continued
Whilst the names of the phases of meiosis [1] are the same as those of
mitosis (IPMAT - PMAT), there are some important differences between
mitosis and meiosis.
Prior to meiosis, the gametocyte (gamete [2]-producing cell; spermatocyte
or oocyte) grows and matures until the hormone level stimulates gamete
production.
