Geometry - Pyramids and cones

Pyramids and cones

We name pyramids [1] after their bases. The standard Egyptian pyramid is a
square-based pyramid. [2] A triangular pyramid [3] has a triangle base. If
we make the base into a circle, our pyramid becomes a cone. [4]
