Suppose you need to create your resume to apply for a job. You want to
create a professional resume that lists the various details in an
easy-to-read format. You also want to highlight the text that describes
your achievements. You can use a word processor, such as Word 2007, to
create an impressive resume.

Word processors are specialized programs that allow you to change the look
and feel of a text document. These programs include tools that help you to
create documents by inserting graphics, charts, tables, and other media
elements. These programs also help you to create a variety of business and
personal documents such as reports, resumes, and letters.

In this lesson, you will learn about the basic tasks that you can perform
by using a word processor. You will learn to work with text, tables, and
pictures. You will also learn about the benefits of desktop publishing
(DTP).Lesson Objectives
