The DIDACTICA group of lifelong learning schools and ALISON announce a partnership to provide IT and desktop application training courses in the French language, serving learners on every continent
Algiers, April 29th 2008.
It is with pleasure that ALISON announces a content publishing agreement with the DIDACTICA (École Supérieure de Management et des Technologies de l'Information - Higher School of Management and Information Technologies) group of Algeria to produce French language versions of ALISON courseware. The ALISON mission to provide access to high-quality courseware for free continues to find support from partners around the world. Fundamental to that mission is the focus on creating non-English variants of our most popular courses, initially within the area of Digital Literacy & IT.
The DIDACTICA group is a network of lifelong learning schools that offer curricula for all levels of education from primary to higher-level studies. Within the area of primary and secondary level education, AL AWAEL Education and Learning, (http://al-awael.max.st/) a member of the DIDACTICA group, provides training in the Arabic language and ICT (Information and Communications Training) as well as providing support to students of English and French. Within the area of Adult Learning, DIDACTICA offers many curricula in ICT and Business Management, as well as offering consultancy services to the corporate sector. The DIDACTICA group is an active member of a number of global organizations including the Global Knowledge Partnership (GKP), and is a proud member of the World Summit Award Associate Partner Network.
With ICT courseware available in French, the ALISON mission of free learning will have direct impact in the 54 countries where French is spoken by a significant percentage of the population, including many African nations and Haiti in the Caribbean where the fruits of the mission are needed most. 350 million people worldwide are French speakers, meaning that ALISON courseware will soon be available in the native languages of over one billion people and growing.
Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Education sector partners of ALISON frequently ask ALISON to provide its courseware in other languages, as basic ICT skills education is in huge demand globally. Please contact us should you wish to partner with us to assist with any of our existing translation and localization projects, to propose a new one or indeed assist us to market our free learning service and our content localized in your local region.
