Green Education can save the World

A Free Universal “Green Certification” aimed at schools and the workplace is to be published for free online access by ALISON.com a Clinton Global Initiative member. The world’s largest free online learning platform, ALISON commits to develop the green interactive multimedia courseware suite to assist the global drive towards more sustainable consumption worldwide.

New York, Sept 30th 2011 – ALISON.com announces that as part of its commitment to the Clinton Global Initiative, it will publish for free online access a universal “green education” courseware suite with certification as part of its effort to aid more sustainable consumption worldwide. ALISON aims to register over 250,000 students by the end of 2012 and one million by the end of 2014 in the educational programme. The new courseware suite will educate students on how they can individually and collectively manage their consumption of energy, water, and food in a more intelligent and self-sustaining manner. The courseware suite will also educate students on general sustainable consumption management and introduce key innovative
concepts such as carbon and biodiversity credits and trading to a global audience.

Speaking at the Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting, ALISON Founder and CEO Mike Feerick stated “If you ever needed an awakening to realize just how interconnected the global community is, and why individuals and organizations worldwide need to be assertive in making sure we and our children can have a long-term sustainable existence on this planet, come to CGI. As a major international educator, we realize that while there are many education initiatives in
action around the world relating to sustainable consumption and all things “green”, there is no comprehensive high-quality self-paced interactive courseware with certification available with free access worldwide. ALISON is pleased to commit to fill this educational void and play its part in educating people worldwide on this very important subject”.

As a result of the Clinton Global Initiative meeting, ALISON has received partnership proposals from a number of multi-national and government organizations. ALISON welcomes further partnership inquiries and contact from potential marketers and users of the proposed courseware suite in anticipation of a launch of the first modules in early 2012.
