Web Developer/Programmer

ALISON has an immediate need for an experienced Web developer/programmer. The candidate should have at least one year's experience of working in web development, and of working as part of a team. As a key part of a small team, the successful candidate will have a wide range of responsibilities: from extending the capabilities of our IT architecture (Moodle, PHP, MySQL, Apache), to high-end application development and general systems administration/network management. An ability to quickly and accurately update website content is essential. A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies is a requirement of this position, as is a flair for problem solving.

Primary Duties:

Develop and maintain new web tools and applications for the company’s e-learning portal
Maintain and upgrade existing web applications
Technical support
Report generation

Skills Required: HTML, basic PHP, strong web programming, website development/layout/usability design.

Skills Preferred: JavaScript, PHP, Windows 2003 network administration.

Experience Level: Minimum one year.

Education Required: Post-secondary qualification in a technical discipline with a web programming element, fluency in English.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time.

Location: Candidates should be available to work at our Galway office.

Start Date: Immediate

Salary and Benefits: Negotiable depending upon experience.
