Vanessa Malone - yarmouth county
Mental Health and Illness

It is hard enough for people to strugle with mental health issues throughout their lives but it must be extra hard to deal with racism on top of that.I can only imagine being a child that has been labeled as a "hard to place mixed race baby". I think if you call a child this often enough they will beleive it after a while, which in turn could lead to the feelings of suicide and self loath. it takes a determined and strong person to be able to lift their spirits after they have been damaged, and to go on to voice to others about their experiences and become a survivor.
