How does the AET Programme Manager benefit?
In joining the AET programme you will:
1. Raise IT skill levels in your local community, 2. Generate income for your organisation, 3. Promote free online education, 4. Promote lifelong learning and help to bridge the digital divide.
An Example
Location A successfully applies to become an AET centre and delivers the ALISON ABC IT course to 100 learners. It charges a per diem fee of €10 which it keeps for itself to hire a part-time local IT skills programme co-ordinator. On completing the programme, it charges €20 to the 100 learners for official professionally printed parchment certificates. If the graduate cannot afford to pay for the official parchment, a standard paper certificate can be printed for them directly from the ALISON site. Should all graduates seek official parchments, an income of €2,000 is generated, and €1,000 is then available to fund ongoing programmes.
ALISON receives €100 for programme membership (paid online). ALISON receives €1,000 plus postage and packaging for delivery of the certificates.
