Judgement of design quality depends heavily on the context. To understand a good design quality has to be determined by using acceptable yardsticks. How to characterize a good design 1. A good design must meet a stated need 2. Or and elaborated requirement/ standard 3. A good design takes into consideration the needs and wants of the people. 4. Values of the target audience have to be put in mind. 5. A good design exploits knowledge and technology to achieve the best. There is no definite formula/ method used to attain a successful design Most designs are routines, the subject of design is all encompassing integrating every sector of the industrial society. The differences and similarities of designers would be considered for better understanding of the subject.

Designing solves problems in a constructive specific manner having in mind the broad picture
There are many factors used to solve design problems- rthe human factors and material factors,
I have learnt to consider the importance of the factors in any design decision making, as design problem has many possible solution.
Design is not a one way traffic it multi faceted.

Learn to appreciate the advice of people in other fields. This helps to sharpen the mind.
Designs can be made for personal and/or commercial purposes
