Learning Outcome

Upon completion of this course you will understand the main parts and functions of a computer. You will become more familiar with using the mouse and keyboard. You will gain a knowledge of the hardware, operating system, programs, data, networks and the World Wide Web. You will be able to easily manage your files and folders. You will be more aware of the different types of internet connection available, how to search for information, email and publish on the web. You will gain a good knowledge of advanced keyboard techniques, word processors, spreadsheets, presentations and databases. This course will help you understand the importance of computer security and privacy. You will be able to protect yourself from computer threats and secure your email and exchanges on the web. You will learn about web video technologies, digital photography, speech recognition and many more interesting digital technologies.
