Government Economic Policy Course
Government Economic Policy

Using an interactive, multimedia design, this course introduces the learner to government policy from an economic perspective. Learners are given a rigorous introduction to budgetary policy via topics such as resource allocation and distribution of wealth. Microeconomic policy is then examined in the context of strengths and weaknesses and finally, the course delves into the topic of government market intervention and investigates a variety of markets types, the reasons for intervention and how intervention occurs. This course is a useful introduction to those who wish to learn and understand the role government policies play in shaping economic outcomes.

Course Topic: Budgetary policy - equity in the distribution of income and wealth
Comment: having economic policy is one of the top functions in any government in the world without economic policy means there is no government able to solve economic problem and to provide good living standard and not able to be a Competitive government in the future and vice verse .

My name is cliff I am an AIDS ACTIVIST I chose this course in efforts to understand a lot of government policies, I have been homeless I am HIV+ I feel that government should find ways to help persons who fall below the poverty line or are stricken with a disease. I understand that government can't help everyone but it should help someone, why should the folks with the silver spoon get all the benifits and not the person in need. I have had the chance to participate in AIDS Watch 2011 in DC.

The US Debt limit crisis, the role of the IMF, taxing and spending policies, government spending and allocations,as well as, the continuing EU crisis involving: Greece, Portugal, Spain, and now Italy...these major headline are serious economic concerns to everyone these days. Ah! but Alison's Fundamentals of Economics and Government Economic Policy certificate program make them relatively easily to both grasp and learn.
