Every year, thousands of accidents at work involving electricity are reported to the Health and Safety authorities, and about 30 people die of electricity related injuries. This module provides trainees with an awareness of the hazards and workplace precautions relating to the safe use of electrical equipment, systems and portable appliances. The module was professionally developed for Health and Safety Professionals, Training managers, or anyone with responsibility for health and safety compliance.

Trainees are shown how to establish a safe system of work, undertake risk assessments before commencing work and use the equipment and systems of work put in place to control risks. This module has a number of interactive sections and visual examples as well as staged assessment of learning.
