The ALISON Basic Computing (ABC) IT course is for anyone who needs to learn basic computing skills, or has a need to demonstrate to an international standard that they are fully competent in the use of a personal computer and common computer applications.
ABC IT-3 introduces the learner to some of the practical skills required for using a computer workstation, namely touch typing skills and how to avoid injury through correct application of the principles of desktop or workstation ergonomics. Additionally, ABC IT-3 provides the learner with an "Introduction to Webmail" module, which teaches the learner all about the Webmail service provided by Google: Gmail (Googlemail in the UK and Germany).
